Crozzle shows heart in Maiden win.

Well related and lightly raced mare Crozzle (Umatilla x Quiz) showed plenty of fight when she broke through for her maiden win at Bendigo.
           
Racing in the all white, Crozzle jumped from barrier 9 and pushed accross and took up the running early on.  Ridden perfeclty by Dean Holland, Crozzle was able to slacken the speed mid race and rounding the turn, she was under pressure with runs coming from everywhere.

She seemed to hit a flat spot about 200mtrs out but Dean was able to lift the big mare again and she fought back to take the race in a tight photo.
       
This was a terrific result for the Hughes family, who own/bred Crozzle and have had a very successful affinity with this good producing mare Quiz.

Crozzle is a big/strong mare still learning what racing is all about, so no doubt she come on even better in the coming months and benifit greatly from breaking her maiden so early on in her racing career.
